Standard Mental Health First Aid
Standard Mental Health First Aid gives adults the practical knowledge and confidence to recognise when another adult may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis—and respond appropriately.
The course helps participants understand common mental health concerns, recognise possible warning signs and approach someone in a supportive, respectful way. It provides a structured action plan for offering initial assistance, encouraging appropriate professional support and responding safely when concerns may be urgent.

Who this training suits
This course is suitable for employees, supervisors, managers, health and safety representatives, HR professionals and community-facing workers who want greater confidence supporting adults experiencing mental health concerns.
It can be particularly valuable for organisations seeking to strengthen mental health literacy, encourage earlier support-seeking and develop a shared, responsible approach to workplace mental health.
Delivery and accreditation
Standard Mental Health First Aid can be delivered face-to-face or through an approved blended format, subject to current Mental Health First Aid Australia requirements.
Eligible participants may complete the course accreditation assessment in accordance with Mental Health First Aid Australia requirements. Accreditation does not qualify participants to diagnose or provide counselling or clinical treatment.
Training is available for workplace groups in Dubbo and across regional NSW, with blended options available online nationally where appropriate.
Supporting earlier and more confident action
Organisations benefit from employees who are better prepared to notice concerns, have appropriate conversations and connect people with professional assistance—without taking on responsibilities outside their role.
