Meet Tim Carr: Workplace consultant, trainer and facilitator
UNSW short course completed: Managing Psychosocial Risks at Work
I’m Tim Carr, founder of Tim Carr Workplace Capability.
I bring more than 15 years of experience developing people, strengthening workforce capability and supporting organisational performance across the electrical, construction, plumbing, agriculture, livestock, motor vehicle, early childhood, aged care, community services, workplace wellbeing and mental health sectors.
Throughout my career, I have worked alongside executives, managers and frontline teams to design and deliver practical workforce-development initiatives that strengthen leadership, improve psychosocial safety and help people perform at their best. My experience includes leadership development, workplace training, non-clinical supervision, coaching and mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and the design of customised capability-building programs.
A significant focus of my work has been helping organisations create mentally healthy, safe and productive workplaces. I have partnered with businesses, government agencies, health providers and community organisations to strengthen workplace culture, build leadership and management capability, support employee wellbeing and achieve better organisational outcomes.
My approach is practical, evidence-based and grounded in the realities of work. I believe lasting improvement comes from giving people useful skills, clear expectations and the confidence to apply what they have learned—not simply delivering information and hoping it creates change.
Having lived and worked in rural NSW for most of my career, I understand the opportunities and challenges facing regional organisations, industries and communities. I bring a strong appreciation of local relationships, agricultural and regional work environments, and the importance of solutions that make sense on the ground.
Above all, I am passionate about helping leaders and teams build the skills, confidence and capability required to create safer workplaces, stronger organisations and meaningful outcomes for the people and communities they serve.
