Customised workplace training

Customised Workplace Training gives organisations the flexibility to address the specific capability, communication, leadership or psychosocial safety issues affecting their workforce.

Off-the-shelf training is not always the best fit. Different industries, workplaces and teams operate within different pressures, responsibilities and levels of experience. TCWC works with organisations to develop practical learning that reflects what employees and managers encounter in their everyday work.

Training can address

A customised program may include topics such as:

  • Psychosocial hazard awareness and risk management

  • Manager capability and difficult workplace conversations

  • Mental health literacy and supportive conversations

  • Workplace communication and team effectiveness

  • Trauma-informed practice

  • Psychological First Aid

  • Motivational Interviewing skills

  • Workforce engagement and consultation

  • Implementing learning after training

  • Other identified capability-development priorities

Content can combine relevant elements from existing TCWC programs or be developed around a clearly defined organisational need.

How the process works

TCWC begins by discussing the organisation’s objectives, workforce, operating environment and current challenges. This helps determine the most appropriate content, format and level of detail.

Training can incorporate realistic workplace examples, facilitated discussion, practical activities, implementation planning and resources that participants can use after the session.

Who this training suits

Customised training is suitable for organisations that:

  • Need content tailored to their industry or workforce

  • Want to address several connected capability areas

  • Have different learning needs across employee groups

  • Need practical support beyond a single awareness session

  • Want training aligned with existing policies and workplace initiatives

Delivery

Customised programs are generally non-accredited unless an accredited course is included and delivered in accordance with the relevant program requirements.

Delivery is available face-to-face in Dubbo and across regional NSW, as well as online nationally. Programs may be delivered as focused workshops, a series of sessions or part of a broader workplace capability initiative.

Training designed for practical application

The objective is not simply to present information. It is to help participants understand what good practice looks like and apply it confidently within their roles.
